We now have three kittens! Our neighbor's cat had
three kittens, but couldn't take care of them because she
got sick. They were a few weeks old when she got sick and
quit feeding them. They came to our house, and they were
pretty wild. One day the weirdest thing happened...the mama
cat came to our house, up onto the porch where I was
watching the kittens playing. She came just a little way
onto the porch, sat down and watched her babies for about
five minutes, then turned around and left. I heard later
that she had died...I guess she was just making sure that
her babies were safe! It was very sad!
Anyway, I had to coax the kitties to eat out of my hand
so I could touch them. It took a while, but they finally
got where they would come inside. I would love for them to
stay inside all of the time, but Sebe is allergic to them.
He can tolerate them for a while, but we have to keep his
door closed while they're inside. He really loves them...he
always wanted a cat as a child, but was too allergic! The
only pet he could tolerate was a chihuahua...and that was
great! We all love Jose!
